GlenAllachie 15 Year Old is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 46% in a 750ml bottle. The distillery was founded in 1967 near Aberlour, and Billy Walker led a consortium that bought it in 2017.
After fifteen years of maturation, the whisky was finished for about 20 months in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons and hogsheads, along with red wine and virgin oak casks. It is non-chill filtered.
The nose is rich with butterscotch, dark raisin, cherry cola and chocolate. The palate is full-bodied, with dark cherries, golden syrup, baking spices, figs and heather honey. The finish is long and warming, with brown sugar, cocoa, orange peel and a touch of sea salt.
