This is a 15-year-old Speyside single malt from Glenallachie, bottled by the distillery at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
The nose is rich with syrup, dark cherries, raisins and sweet spice, alongside toffee, glazed figs, heather and hazelnuts. Heather honey, typical of the distillery, comes first on the palate, with orange peel, cocoa, mixed nuts and ginger, then sweet dried fruit and spice. The finish is long, with plenty of dark chocolate, cherries, a hint of tobacco, leather and caramelised sugar.
