GlenAllachie – 2007 12 Year Old Cask 1860 Port Pipe Batch 2 (58.7%)

This GlenAllachie is a 12 year old single cask malt distilled in 2007 and finished in a port pipe. It comes from cask 1860, Batch 2, at 58.7% ABV, and was filled into 638 bottles for the European market. The port pipe finish brings sweetness and a fruity character, especially red berries. GlenAllachie stands at the foot of Ben Rinnes in Speyside. It is one of the few independently owned and run distilleries in Scotland, led by Billy Walker, who has spent fifty years in whisky.
