Glenallachie – 2007 12 Year Old Red Wine Single Cask #4632 (70cl, 59.9%)

This is a 12 year old single cask Glenallachie, matured in a red wine cask (cask 4632) and bottled at a cask strength of 59.9% in a 70cl bottle. It is unfiltered, and 298 bottles were filled. The long time in the wine cask gave the oak room to add further flavour to the whisky. It is described as having lively hints of red fruits, heather honey and cinnamon, with sweet notes and a touch of herbs. Because of the strength, a few drops of water in the glass are recommended.
