This is a GlenAllachie 17 year old single cask, from cask 1426, distilled in 2009. The Speyside single malt was matured in an Oloroso sherry hogshead and bottled at a cask strength of 53% ABV, non-chill filtered and natural in colour. Just 356 bottles were filled.
The nose offers mocha, dried stone fruits and cinnamon, with honeycomb, blood orange, damson plum, muscovado sugar and cocoa. On the palate come truffle, worn leather and dried orchard fruits, followed by manuka honey, demerara sugar and raisin butter.
