GlenAllachie – 30 Year Old Batch 3 (48.9%)

GlenAllachie 30 Year Old Batch 3 is a Speyside single malt bottled at a cask strength of 48.9%, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. It is a small batch of 2,400 bottles. Eight selected casks went into the batch: Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks and virgin oak. Master Blender Billy Walker wanted to use the distillery's vintage stocks for a thirty year old single malt, and followed the whisky in each cask until the interaction between spirit and wood reached its best.
