This is the 30 year old single malt from GlenAllachie, a Speyside distillery, bottled as Batch 4 at 49.1% ABV.
The whisky draws on two types of sherry cask. PX sherry casks contribute dark chocolate, sweet prunes and raisins, while Oloroso casks add nuts and spicy notes.
On the nose it is rich and complex, with dried fruits, spiced oak and honey, and a hint of vanilla.
