GlenAllachie – 8 Years Old Organic Koval Rye Cask Finish (48%)

This is an 8 year old single malt from GlenAllachie in Speyside, finished in quarter casks that previously held organic rye whiskey from the Koval distillery in Chicago. It is a limited release, bottled at 48%. The close contact with the small casks adds spicy and sweet notes to the nose and the palate. Cinnamon and nutmeg sit in balance with a honeyed sweetness that carries into a very long finish.
