A nine-year-old Speyside single malt from GlenAllachie, bottled at 48% as part of the distillery's Wood Collection and matured in Amontillado sherry casks.
An Amontillado begins life as a Fino, but is then aged without flor. That oxidative ageing gives the wine a darker colour and more intense flavours than a Fino, and it shapes the character of the whisky.
This bottling is described as bringing dark cherries, toasted hazelnuts and caramel sauce.
