This is an 8 year old single malt from GlenAllachie, bottled at 48% and finished in Koval rye quarter casks. The whisky is golden in colour. It was first matured in American casks, then given extra time in organic rye casks from the Koval distillery in Chicago.
The ratio of wood to liquid is higher here, so the characteristic spiciness of rye has a greater effect on the spirit. It comes from batch 1 of the GlenAllachie wood finish range.
