This is a 28 year old Speyside single malt from Glenburgie, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for the Connoisseurs Choice series and released for the UK market. It was distilled in 1994 and bottled in 2023.
The whisky matured in a single refill American hogshead, and 138 bottles were filled. Refill American oak lets the character of the spirit come through, and the style is described as elegant and fruit-forward.
Expect orchard fruits, honeyed malt, vanilla and gentle spice.
