A thirteen-year-old Glencadam Small Batch, matured in first-fill bourbon casks of American oak that are being used for the first time to age Scotch whisky. It is bottled at 46% without chill-filtration or added colour, and combines tropical fruit with a creamy, nutty character.
The nose is creamy, with sweet bread-and-butter pudding, sugared almonds and zesty citrus marmalade. The palate is rich and oily, with panna cotta and caramelised biscuit alongside lemon peel and nutmeg. The finish is warming and nutty, with almond pastry and cocoa powder, and a trace of ground coffee.
