Glencadam Reserve de Cognac is a 14 year old Eastern Highlands single malt, distilled in Brechin in 2006 and sold in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition of 4,800 bottles, selected by the Master Distiller from the distillery's dunnage warehouses.
The whisky matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks, then was finished in Cognac casks from the Cognac region of France.
The nose has roast chestnut, peanut brittle, bramble and summer fruit pudding. The palate brings almond nougat, mocha, crepes, lemon oil and hazelnut cream, with baking spices. The finish is toasty, with dark berries, ground coffee and cigar spice.
