Glencadam – 1996 Single Cask #9746 (70cl, 58.7%)

This is a 1996 single cask Highland single malt from Glencadam, bottled at 58.7% in a 70cl bottle. Glencadam has stood in Brechin since 1825, and its name is usually translated as valley of the wild goose. Most of its output goes into the Ballantine's blends, but it also bottles its own East Highlands single malt, made from unpeated malted barley. The whisky is not coloured or chill-filtered. It is distilled in two original copper pot stills whose lyne arms rise at 15 degrees rather than slope downwards.
