Glencadam – 1999 Single Cask #1 (70cl, 55%)

This is a 1999 single cask Highland single malt from Glencadam, bottled at 55% in a 70cl bottle. Glencadam was started in Brechin in 1825, and its name is usually translated as valley of the wild goose. Most of the spirit goes to the Ballantine's blends, though the distillery also bottles its own East Highlands single malt, made from unpeated malted barley. The whisky is not coloured or chill-filtered. Two original copper pot stills produce it, and their lyne arms angle upwards at 15 degrees instead of downwards.
