This is an amber-coloured single malt from Glencadam, distilled in the Highlands of Scotland and bottled at 40% ABV. It spends time in ex-bourbon casks from Kentucky, made from American oak.
The nose combines vanilla and soft butter with orchard fruits and sultanas. The palate opens with poached pear, apple blossom and acacia honey, then roasted chestnuts, bitter lemon peel and mocha. The finish is sweet, with cooked fruits, white grapes and apple crumble custard, slowly softening until a peppery note remains.
