Glencadam Reserva de Madeira is a Highland single malt matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks, then finished in Madeira wine casks. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The Madeira finish adds a layer of spiced, fruity richness to the malt.
The nose brings cooked apples, brambles and custard tarts, with syrup sponge, nutmeg and berry coulis. On the palate there are spiced fruits, cantaloupe melon and golden raisins, set against dark chocolate and ginger. The finish is long, with brittle toffee, mocha and chocolate truffle wrapped in gentle cake spices.
