Glencadam – Reserve De Burgundy Pinot Noir Small Batch Single Malt (70cl)

A small batch single malt from Glencadam, in a 70cl bottle. The Master Distiller chose whisky matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks from the distillery's dunnage warehouses, then married it and finished it in Pinot Noir wine barrels from Burgundy, France. The nose is rich with dark fruits, Morello jam, stewed plums and chocolate mousse. The palate is sweet and oily, with cooked blackcurrants, Brazil nuts, brambles and banana bread, and hints of espresso, clove and star anise. The finish is rich with mocha coffee and Black Forest gateau, leading to ginger and nutmeg.
