Glencadam Reserve De Sauternes is a 13 year old single malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is a 2008 limited edition.
The whisky was distilled and first matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks, then finished in Sauternes wine barrels from France.
Fine-cut marmalade, poached pears, acacia honey and peach blossom lead the nose, with yellow fruits and sandalwood. On the palate come baked peach, dried mango, manuka honey and chocolate orange, then lemon drizzle cake and mandarin sorbet. The finish brings apple compote, agave nectar and candied peels with sweet baking spices and cloves.
