A cask strength Irish single grain whiskey from Glendalough in County Wicklow, bottled at 61.3% in a 70cl bottle. The label is pale grey and carries a silhouette of Saint Kevin.
The spirit is made from malted barley and other grain. It is matured first in American ex-bourbon casks, then finished in Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled without chill-filtration and without added colouring.
The nose offers raisins, dark fruit, fresh citrus and oak. The palate is full and soft for the strength, with dried fruit, oak and cherry. The finish is long, with spice, ginger and nuts.
