GlenDronach Forgue is a 10 year old Highland single malt matured in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. It is bottled at 43% in a 1 litre bottle, supplied in a tube, and is non-chill-filtered with no added colour. Its golden to copper colour comes from the casks.
Forgue appeared in 2018 as the first GlenDronach made solely for international travel retail. The name refers to the valley of Forgue, where the distillery stands.
The nose combines Seville blood orange and cherry with ripe barley, roasted chestnuts and cocoa. The palate brings sweet Valencia orange, sour cherries, blackcurrants, toffee with praline notes and earthy blackberries. The long finish has tobacco, orange and ground nutmeg.
