Glendronach 12 Year Old is a malt whisky from the Glendronach distillery, which was built in 1826. It was a favourite of the 5th Duke of Gordon, whose name is linked to the 1823 licensing and tax reduction act.
The whisky is matured in sherry casks, which give it a deep amber colour with a reddish tint.
The nose is very sweet and sherried, restrained at first and then slowly opening up. The palate has a notable sweetness with discreet oak, and the finish is of medium length.
