GlenDronach 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43%. It is aged in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks from Spain, which gives it a core of dried fruit and Christmas spice.
On the nose it is rich with cereals, raisin, cinnamon and caramelised sugar, with a touch of struck match. Sweeter Pedro Ximénez and raw ginger come through before it turns creamier with hazelnuts. The palate offers fruit, peel and butter, with pain au chocolat and a little marmalade on toast, then becomes firmer and nuttier with spiced raisins. The finish is smoky toffee and nut brittle.
