This is a 15 year old Highland single malt from Glendronach, matured entirely in sherry casks and bottled around 1995 at 40% ABV.
The colour is full amber. The nose is rich, with raisins, prunes and herbs, plus hints of old wine barrels and mushrooms.
The palate brings dry raisins, mocha, chocolate, cherries in eau-de-vie and toffee, in a rather antique style that sometimes recalls brandy. The finish is clean, with raspberry jam and dark chocolate.
