It is matured in Pedro Ximénez and oloroso sherry casks, with a Port-matured component added to the distillery's sherry-led approach.
The name comes from Boynsmill Estate, which the founder, James Allardice, established as the home of GlenDronach in 1826. The estate still welcomes visitors.
