GlenDronach Allardice is an 18-year-old Highlands single malt, matured entirely in oloroso sherry casks. It is named after James Allardice, who founded the distillery in 1826. It is bottled at 46% ABV, without chill filtration, in a 70cl bottle. This bottling was filled on 17 February 2016.
The nose is led by sherry, hazelnut, walnut, hay, truffle and orange zest, with touches of caramel, candied fruit and soft spice. On the palate come red fruits, honey, toffee and dark chocolate, with oak and spice. The finish is long, with sherry, nuts and gingerbread.
