This is GlenDronach 18 Year Old, part of the distillery's core range. It was matured for 18 years entirely in Oloroso sherry casks from Andalucía.
The distillery notes that connoisseurs often call it the "Ultimate Sherry Bomb".
The nose is deep with fudge and dark muscovado sugar, along with fruit compote and Morello cherries. The palate is rich, dark and full-bodied, with stewed fruits, allspice, Oloroso character, toasted walnut bread and chocolate orange.
