GlenDronach 18 Year Old is a Highland single malt matured in Oloroso sherry casks from Andalucía in Spain. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, and is often described as the ultimate sherry bomb.
In the glass it is antique bronze with an amber hue. The aroma is of fudge and dark muscovado sugar, with fruit compote and morello cherries. The palate brings stewed fruits and allspice, aged Oloroso, toasted walnut bread and chocolate orange. Dark treacle, allspice and walnut carry into a long finish.
