Glendronach – 1976-1994 18 Year Old (70cl, 43%)

This is a Glendronach single malt distilled in 1976 and bottled in 1994 at 18 years old. It is a distillery bottling at 43%, in a 70cl bottle. The vatting was made mostly from fresh sherry casks, with some seasoned oak casks alongside, and the whisky has a rich chestnut colour. On the palate it is typically described as nutty, earthy and fruity, with sherry character and an oily texture.
