This is a 28-year-old single malt from Glendronach, distilled in 1990 and bottled at 51.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was matured entirely in a Pedro Ximénez puncheon, and 660 bottles were filled.
The nose offers raisins, dark plums, chocolate fondant, soft smoky notes and old oak. The palate is intensely sweet, with figs, dates, caramel, toffee, espresso and candied fruit, while the aged oak adds depth. The finish is long and warm, with spices, mocha, wood polish and a last wave of Pedro Ximénez sweetness.
