This is a single cask Glendronach, distilled on 5 June 1992 and bottled in 2018 at 26 years old. It came from sherry butt 220, which yielded 457 bottles, and was bottled at a cask strength of 54.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle, without chill filtration or added colouring.
Maturing entirely in a sherry butt gives the rich, full-bodied style Glendronach is known for. The nose is an old-style sherry, saline and nutty, with damp earth, bitter chocolate, old Armagnac and rancio. The palate is spicy, with mulling spices, treacle, black pepper and roast chestnuts. The finish is long, earthy and salty, with walnut oils and herbal resins.
