This is a 26 year old single cask Glendronach from Aberdeenshire in Scotland, filled in 1992 and bottled in 2018. It matured in a sherry butt, cask 220, and was bottled at 54.7% in a 70cl bottle. The cask gave 457 bottles.
On the nose there is intense sherry, dark fruit, orange marmalade, juicy raisins and blackberries, with dark chocolate and cherry. The palate brings plenty of dark fruit, ground almonds and spicy oak, with cedarwood and a hint of barley behind.
The finish is very long and intense, with spicy oak, orange with chocolate, spices and sweet pastry.
