This is Glendronach Master Vintage, a 25-year-old Highland single malt distilled in 1993 and bottled by the distillery in 2019. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 48.2%, without colouring or chill filtration.
The whisky was matured entirely in a mix of Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks, and it was a one-off bottling. Its colour is a deep mahogany.
On the nose there is brandy-laced fruitcake and marzipan, with hints of smoked walnut and toasted sultana bread. The palate brings coffee and sultana brioche with a twist of baked orange rind, and the finish is long, with cocoa, dates and pecan toffee.
