GlenDronach – 1993 25 Years Old Pedro Ximenez Sherry Cask #5854 (54.5%)

This is a single cask GlenDronach Highland malt, distilled on 15th January 1993 and matured for 25 years in a single Pedro Ximénez sherry puncheon. It was bottled at a natural cask strength of 54.5% ABV, and 706 bottles were filled. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has a deep mahogany natural colour. The long time in Pedro Ximénez oak is described as giving layers of dark fruit, rich sweetness and polished oak, without becoming overly tannic or dry.
