This is a 30 year old single malt from GlenDronach, drawn from a single PX sherry butt and limited to 595 bottles. It is the final release in the distillery's Cask Bottling series, bottled at natural cask strength and without chill filtration.
The nose offers sherry-soaked bramble fruit, orange and sultanas, with chocolate praline, Demerara sugar and Morello cherry fruitcake. On the palate, dark stewed fruit recalls chocolate gateau, alongside leather, tobacco and oak. The finish brings together fruit, molasses, wood spice and fine tannins.
