GlenDronach 1993 is a 28 year old single cask from Batch 19 of the Cask Bottling series. It was matured for 28 years in a Pedro Ximénez puncheon, cask 6865, and bottled in 2021 at a natural cask strength of 52.8%.
The nose offers dark raisins, figs, old oak, balsamic sweetness and a hint of espresso. The palate is thick and syrupy, with chocolate fondant, plum compote, tobacco, leather and a warm PX spiciness. The finish is very long and sweet-dry, with mocha, raisins, dark honey and old wood.
