A 28 year old single malt from Glendronach, distilled in 1993 and matured in an Oloroso sherry puncheon. It is Cask Bottling Batch 19, bottled at 55.2% in an outturn of 688 bottles.
The character is deep, dark sherry with an oily richness.
The nose brings dark raisins, plum compote, cocoa, nut oil and old mahogany. The palate is full and intense, with dark chocolate, figs, aged leather, tobacco, coffee beans and a thick, syrupy sweetness. The finish is very long and warming, with spices, pure cocoa and dried fruit.
