A 24 year old single cask malt from Glendronach, the Aberdeenshire distillery near Huntly. It was distilled in 1993 and matured in a sherry butt, cask 394, then bottled in October 2017 at 51.7% ABV. The 659 bottles, each of 70cl, were filled for Danish whisky retailers.
The nose combines strong sherry, sweetness, orange, vanilla, almonds, forest honey and dark chocolate with fine dark berries. On the palate come sherry, chocolate, coffee, caramel, a little vanilla and cinnamon, rich and spicy. The finish is very long and sweet, with old oak.
