This is a single cask Glendronach filled on 21 May 1993 and bottled in 2019. It matured in a Pedro Ximenez sherry puncheon, cask 5965, which gave 717 bottles at 55.2% in a 70cl bottle. It was bottled as a Denmark exclusive.
Glendronach stands at Forgue, near Huntly in Aberdeenshire.
The nose is intense, with full PX sherry, juicy raisins and orange, a little honey and vanilla, walnuts, dried fruit and dark chocolate. The palate is sweet and rich, with old leather, coffee, tobacco, caramel, cinnamon and dried figs. The finish is very long, spicy and sweet, with orange, raisins, dark chocolate and old oak.
