This Glendronach is a single cask bottling from the 1993 vintage, dated 17 September 1993. It was bottled in 2022 at 28 years old, at 51.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It spent its maturation in an Oloroso sherry puncheon, cask 7100, which produced 667 bottles. The distillery is at Forgue, near Huntly in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
The nose offers sherry and plenty of fruit, among them blueberry, cherry and orange, with chocolate, spice, vanilla and almonds. On the palate it is rich, with chocolate, coffee, vanilla, plum skin and orange marmalade. The finish is very long and sweet, with dark chocolate, sherry and old oak.
