GlenDronach – 1994 27 Year Old Cask Bottling Batch 19 Cask 7469 (53%)

This is a single cask GlenDronach distilled in 1994 and bottled at 27 years old. It comes from Batch 19 of the distillery's cask bottlings, drawn from cask 7469, at 53% ABV. The outturn is 678 bottles. The whisky matured entirely in an Oloroso sherry puncheon. The nose shows raisins, dark chocolate, old oak, plums and a hint of leather. On the palate there are intense sherry notes with figs, black cherries, candy sugar, roasted nuts, coffee and spice. The finish is very long and warming, with chocolate, mahogany and dried fruit.
