A 26 year old single cask Glendronach, distilled on 15 July 1994 and bottled in 2020 from an Oloroso sherry puncheon, cask 7467. It was bottled at 51.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with 686 bottles filled.
Glendronach stands in Forgue, near Huntly in Aberdeenshire.
The nose is sweet and sherried, with strawberry, cherry and apricot, then vanilla, almonds, forest honey, orange, chocolate and spice. The palate is rich and powerful, with intense sherry, chocolate, coffee, vanilla and a little cinnamon. The finish is very long and sweet.
