Glendronach 2007 is a 12 year old single cask malt from Batch 17, bottled at a cask strength of 60.9%. It matured entirely in a Pedro Ximénez puncheon.
The sherry wood brings deep sweetness, raisins, chocolate and a fatty texture.
The nose is dark raisins, plums, warm caramel, dark chocolate and soft spices. The palate is syrupy and intense, with rich PX sherry, figs, mocha, cloves, dark wood and a hint of orange zest. The finish is long, warming, sweet and slightly spicy.
