A 27 year old Highland single malt from GlenDronach, the tenth release in the limited edition Grandeur range. It is bottled at 50.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with 2293 numbered bottles.
The whisky was matured in ex-Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons and butts, chosen from some of the oldest and most unusual sherry casks at the distillery.
The nose offers black truffle, plum compote and treacle, with dried apricot, oily walnut and brandied cherries beneath. The palate brings hazelnut, Seville orange marmalade, stewed apple, clove and coffee liqueur, and the finish is antique leather with earthy sweetness.
