The GlenDronach 28 Year Old Grandeur is the eleventh batch of this Highland single malt, bottled at 48.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Master Blender Dr Rachel Barrie chose a small number of Oloroso sherry casks for it. The whisky is of natural colour, all of it drawn from the casks in which it rested for almost three decades, and each bottle is numbered by hand. The nose is full of sherry aromatics, dark manuka honey, roasted almond and walnut, with baked plum and ginger deepening to old leather and freshly ground coffee. The palate is full-bodied, with dark fruit, black cherry and espresso. The finish is persistent, with chocolate, liquorice and walnut.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
