This is Batch 12 of Glendronach Cask Strength, a Highland single malt released as a distillery bottling in summer 2023. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 58.2% ABV, without colouring or chill filtration.
The series first appeared in 2012. This batch combines Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and is bottled at natural cask strength.
The nose is rich with mocha, cappuccino, orange, raisin fruit cake, cherry liqueur and sandalwood. On the palate, velvety spice brings dark chocolate, flamed Seville orange peel, toasted almond and crystallised ginger. The finish carries amaretto-laced mocha, morello cherry and sultana with caramelised creme brulee.
