This is Batch 12 of the GlenDronach Cask Strength series, a single malt bottled at 58.2% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. It was matured in Spanish Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and then in Oloroso sherry casks.
The colour is deep bronze. The nose offers sandalwood, orange, and coffee with honey and oak. The palate is rich with mocha, creamy cappuccino, fruit cake filled with orange and raisins, cherry liqueur and sandalwood. The finish is long, with mocha and amaretto, sour cherry and sultanas over caramelised crème brûlée.
