Glendronach Hielan is an 8 year old single malt from the Scottish Highlands, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, and it is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The name pays tribute to the dialect spoken around the distillery in the Highlands. The style pairs sweet, buttery aromas with spicy sherry overtones.
On the nose there are orange blossom, a touch of citrus, golden sultanas, raisins and ripe yellow plums, dusted with vanilla. The palate brings oak spice, soaked sultanas, apricot jam and gingerbread, rounded off with butterscotch, cocoa and roasted almonds.
