Ode to The Valley is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky from GlenDronach, bottled at 46.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
The whisky is matured in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks together with ruby Port pipes from Portugal's Douro Valley. That brings Port casks to a distillery known for its sherried malts.
The nose is led by raspberry, wild strawberry and blackcurrant, with rose petal and apricot glaze. The palate is syrupy and creamy, with stewed plums, figs, raisins, cocoa, leather and tobacco. The finish is long and warming, with sweet spice and red fruit.
