GlenDronach – Ode to Ember (70cl, 48.4%)

GlenDronach Ode to Ember is a peated Highland single malt, matured in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. It is bottled with natural colour and without chill-filtering. It was created to show how smoky Highland peat sits alongside traditional Spanish sherry maturation, setting the intense smokiness of peated malt against the rich, fruity and spicy influence of the distillery's sherry ageing. The nose brings smouldering peat, warm spices, roasted walnut brittle and orange. On the palate it turns to dark chocolate and fruit cake.
